JOHN TROMP b. 1946 Amsterdam,
The Netherlands Statement My work has changed over the years from a purely subconscious and emotional response to music or other impulse where the doing rather than the knowing mattered to a more balanced act between heart and mind. With this body of work, I hope to evoke responses in viewers that are related to connections with emotions that we may well want to fell disconnected from.
Soul, spirit-world, land, foreigners, threats to our so-called 'well being', feelings better left alone. But we can't, can we?
