b. 1939 Wickepin, Western Australia
STATEMENT
Lambert’s work plays with decorative aspects of domesticity, particularly rural domesticity, and focuses more seriously on farming environments and issues that have application to the wider community. Beauty, fragility, history, vulnerability, degradation, urban encroachment and change are all subject to further interpretation.
Paint remains Lambert’s favoured medium, with mixed media becoming a stronger component in her more recent work. She frequently collages found objects into her work as she traces man’s effect on the environment.
